Michoel Shapiro (a.k.a The Fighting Rabbi) is a certified instructor in Israeli self-defense systems Krav Maga and Haganah (F.I.G.H.T.).
Drawing upon over 12 years of experience with these proven systems as well as elements of Brazilian Jujitsu, he teaches students how to defend against an attacker who is stronger, more skilled, and even armed.
His methods are easy-to-learn, enabling quick mastery. He also instructs on conceptual principles of self-defense, the legalities of using physical force, and the perspective of Jewish Law (halacha) on self-protection.
This video was created in response to the recent migration of the violent and possibly deadly “Knockout” game to the Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, targeting unsuspecting Jews in particular.
“When it comes to personal protection, we need to incorporate various lines of defense,” says Shapiro who is a resident of Crown Heights.
“Awareness, avoidance, and technique must be combined to form an effective strategy in all cases of self-defense. The same is certainly true against the twisted “game” called Knockout.”

Teach ‘The 7 Noahide Laws’ and start powerful political action to toughen laws. Government is supposed to protect us but they don’t. Very embarrassing, in a (So-called) civilized society to have to spend time and money learning self-defense when the government doesn’t do its job. I mean, if there’s only one, then it’s a safe bet, but if there are any more, you’re better off not fighting back. Mob mentality can make the situation very unpredictable and you could end up hurt a lot worse than you would be otherwise. Unless you’re armed (with something lethal, not mace), just do what you can to avoid the situation. Don’t walk alone, cross the street if you see a group approaching, or duck into a shop or doorway.
