The White House convened its first-ever Jewish Women’s Leadership Summit on Thursday, with prominent Jewish women from across the United States.
The three-and-a-half-hour event marked Women’s History Month and Purim, JInsider reported.
The invitation was sent by the White House’s Jewish liaison, Shelley Greenspan, to Jewish female leaders “who are working to improve the lives of people in their communities,” according to the invitation.
More than 70 women attended the meeting, which highlighted topics including antisemitism, leadership and gender equity.
Mrs. Nechama Shemtov, Director of Women’s issues and educational programs of American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad), was in attendance.
Thursday’s gathering began with a fireside chat with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and featured briefings from senior White House officials.
Among the speakers were Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism; Chani Neuberger, deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technology; Latifa Lyles, special assistant to the president for gender policy; and Rosie Hidalgo, senior advisor on gender-based violence and special assistant to the president.

If you believe in bodily autonomy, equal pay and representation, equal access to healthcare, and if you want events like the Jewish Women’s Leadership Summit to continue, vote for Democrats!!
Judaism believes in feminism, they are truly one and the same. Please vote in favor of halacha and human decency!
I would consider myself a feminist and fully support equality for women, but I will never vote for a party that preaches gender values that are against halacha!
such a kiddush Hashem! feminism should be taught to all jewish girls and women, and boys and men too
awesome seeing frum women getting involved politically. i hope to see more frum women standing alongside our sisters for a world of equal rights for all <3
Your double talk is really a bit much and rather transparent, I might add. For starters Judaism and feminism are Not “one and the same”, madam, or is it mademoiselle? Judaism is a religion that allocates different roles to men and women, and those roles are not freely interchangeable. Stop bringing politics into every matter and stop hiding behind phrases like “bodily autonomy” when what you really want to say is that women own their bodies. Sorry buddy, your body is the Aibershter’s, and not yours to decide what you would like to do to it , on many different… Read more »
