Abe’s Corner is located on the corner of Rogers Avenue and Clarkson Avenue and offers a large outdoor seating area where both families and friends can get together to enjoy the delicious eclectic food on the menu.
The Umami Burger is just one of their eclectic and delicious menu offerings.
Ingredients:
Burger patty
60% chuck
20% brisket
10% navel
Make an 8 ounce burger grill or sear in cast iron pan.
Julienne 1 red onion. Take 1 cup of red wine vinegar, 1/3 cup water 1/4 cup sugar and salt 1 tbsp of pickling spice and bring to a boil. Once boiled pour over onions and let cool refrigerate immediately.
Takes arugula and finely julienned scallions, pickled red onion, 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar 1/2 tbsp oil pinch of sesame seeds and mix
1/2 cup sake
1/2 cup mirin
Bring to a Boil
Once boiled add 1 lb white miso and 1 cup white sugar
And whisk until smooth.
Add 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar.
Once miso glaze is cooled, brush over burger.
Take 1/2 tsp of wasabi powder and 3 tbsp mayo and mix. Spread over buns and assemble burger. Add miso glazed patty
Toast brioche buns, add wasabi Mayo, add miso glazed burger tops with greens and pickled red onions equals the best burger you’ll ever have.
