An event marking the Shloshim of Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm obm took place Thursday evening in Crown Heights.
Hundreds of family members, friends and talmidim of Rabbi Wilhelm gathered at Oholei Torah to remember the longtime leader of the Oholei Torah Mesivta and the Lemaan Yilmedu semicha program who authored seforim and was known for his Torah scholarship and knowledge.
A Siyum on Mishnayos was recited and speakers shared Divrei Hisorerus and memories of Rabbi Wilhelm, many of whom related about Rabbi Wilhelm’s care and concern for every student during his decades of leading the Oholei Torah Mesivta.
Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Wilhelm, Rabbi Zushe’s son, served as the MC for the evening. Speakers included Crown Heights Beis Din Rov Rabbi Yosef Braun, Merkos Vice-Chairman Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Rabbi Simon Jacobson, R’ Michoel Lozenik, Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twersky, R’ Berel Junik, R’ Berel Wilhelm, R’ Levi Wilhelm, R’ Mendel Schneerson and R’ Yisroel Clapman.
Afterward, the formal program was followed by a Farbrengen with Mashpia Rabbi Shloime Zarchi.
