A third location of the popular kosher coffee shop Chocolatte has opened its doors in a new location bordering Crown Heights and Prospect Heights in Brooklyn, New York.
The cafe will be serving locally roasted coffee, smoothies, breakfast meals, sandwiches and various snacks – all Cholov Yisroel under the supervision of CHK (Crown Heights Kosher).
Located at 800 Franklin Avenue, the new shop is conveniently near the Franklin Avenue Subway station and in walking distance from the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Prospect Park and the Prospect Park Zoo.
“We wanted to fulfill the requests of people who are coming back from Manhattan or Williamsburg,” says Shemi Harel, one of the partners of the chain along with his brothers Michoel Harel and Levi Harel.
“It will also cater to the people who walk or jog down Eastern Parkway and would love a kosher bite in the area,” he told COLlive.com.
“The neighborhood is growing,” Harel says. “There are 3 Chabad shuls in the area, a preschool and Jewish families.”
The new restaurant boasts a breakfast menu served exclusively at that location. The owners have also set up a Tefillin station for anyone to use.
The new store opens at 7:00 am and closes at 7:00 pm. At a later date, they will be open until 10:00 pm.
The original flagship Chocolatte in Crown Heights is located near 770 at the Jewish Children’s Museum – 792 Eastern Parkway. It is open 24 hours a day and is under the supervision of the CHK. Chocolatte in Midwood is located at 1354 Coney Island and Avenue J and is under the supervision of Rabbi Yisroel Gornish. The address of the new location is 800 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
