An expert panel will be gathering on zoom to discuss the chinuch for today’s teenage girls. Featuring the Consultant Vaad HaChinuch of Bais Chana High School opening in the Brandywine Valley – R’ Shais Taub, R’ Mendy Levin, R’ Shmuel Lew, and R’ Yitzchak Wolf.
This panel will address questions and concerns brought up by parents and mechanchim to address the needs and opportunities that arise as our daughters go through their teen years.
Moderating the panel will be Mrs. Rochel Flikshtein, founder and dean of the Bais Chana High School which will be opening up for the 2022-2023 school year. Bais Chana’s mission is to empower their girls to embody a personal connection to their yiddishkeit, and a passion in being a bas Chabad. Engendering a growth environment, girls become confident, educated, connected, passionate, and happy young women. Building on the vision of the Rebbe for chinuch and learning from the wisdom of the Consultant Vaad Hachinuch, the school administration has been working hard on creating an applicable, chassidus-based curriculum and gathering passionate, seasoned staff who will be directly involved with the students.
Bais Chana High School is excited to open this panel discussion with the men’s Consultant Vaad HaChinuch on Sunday, 17 Adar II – March 20th, discussing girls’ chinuch today. The panel zoom is open for parents and mechanchim worldwide.

Isn’t it time we moved beyond the idea that men are the ones advising on girls education. There are plenty of talented women in Lubavitch who can do this. And probably have a better, more nuanced idea of what girls need. By the same token, I think its time we revisit the idea of men farbrenging in Women’s sems. Something is not quite right.
Yes, I completely agree. These rabbis are truly knowledgeable and respected however the fact that these are the only faces on this panel with no female representation other than the moderator reads out of touch to me.
Agree! My first thought when I saw this is why is this given by men? How do they know anything abt teen girls?
soooooooooooooooo true
100%
That’s who a woman, mrs flikshtein, decided would be best to address this issue
there are so many amazing women who are mechanchos, rebbetzins, talmidos chachamos and also… have lived experience about what it is to be a teenage girl.
onward and upward.
Please post how to access the recording for review
Well, since Rabbi Lew is involved in girls chinuch for close to 50 years, and has more answers from the Rebbe about this topic than almost anyone alive, I would take his opinion any day, over all the talented, capable, Chasidishe mechaneches’s out there
This isn’t to put any of the speakers down. They’re excellent and truly knowledgeable, what’s lacking is the female representation. When it’s only men and no women, that’s where the problem is.
If you just listen a few minutes into the presentation you will hear her say that they also have a woman’s chinuch committee they are consulting with. And she says that perhaps they will have a presentation by their woman’s chinuch committee as well.
Seems like she sees value in having input from both.
We completely agree that women’s input is critical in developing the foundation for high school girls chinuch!! This is why Bais Chana High School is excited to announce that there will also be an incredible Women’s Panel addressing more questions on this subject. This will feature Mrs. Bassie Garelik, Mrs. Dena Gorkin, and Mrs. Nechama Laber who are the Consultant Vaad HaChinuch of women for the Bais Chana High School. It will be held shortly after Pesach. Look out for more information soon about it!
Please consider including Rebbetzin Tirtza Shapiro and Rebbetzin Tzippora Brusowankin of Florida in your Chinuch panel.
Mrs. Brusowankin is an outstanding teacher and an inspiring role model. Her students truly look up to and appreciate her!!!
