A political action committee (PAC) called A Better NY for All was created to advance the needs for small businesses and the growing concerns of public safety and is partnering with communities and organizations across New York City.
The City reported that Brooklyn businessperson Gil Cygler is the driving force behind the PAC and is raising $500,000 to fund ads to support the campaign of Eric Adams for mayor as well as a few other select candidates in the borough.
One of the organizations they are partnering with is Crown Heights United which is focused on voter turnout and that the community’s needs are addressed.
“A lot of small business people are being hurt by the leftward shift in the city and there has to be a better balance between the leftward shift, the need for reform, public safety and help for business,” said Cygler who ran a rental car company for many years.
With less than nine days to go before the mayoral primary, business leaders have divided the Democratic candidates for mayor into those they believe embrace that business is part of the solution to the city’s recovery from the pandemic recession — and those who do not, the City reported.
Crime has emerged as a crucial issue for business leaders, although keeping city tax bills level is not far behind, the website reported. Confidence in the candidates’ ability to run the city is also emerging as an important differentiator.
VIDEO: A Better NY for All’s campaign ad for Eric Adams
I went to vote and didn’t know who to put down
David Weprin he’s the only frum jew in this race
Does that vaad recommend we put yang as second choice, or only put Adam’s ?
Only Adams
According to a Yang commercial, Adams had said that he supported remote learning with one teacher teaching 300 to 400 students at a time.
Ive been at education events with Mr. Adams and although he may have ‘said’ this, he definitely has a vision and understanding of the importance of small classrooms for young children
Everybody vote Andrew Yang for mayor!! Eric Adams said he wants the city to be as safe as it was by David Dinkens. How do you like that?
The new very effective PAC has done their research and surely public safety is one of the top priorities. They have announced their choices and shared it several times on this site.
Questions: 1. Does a majority of police officers support Adam’s? 2. Did he really say that NYC should be be a sanctuary city?
Listen to the debate; its happening now. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/politics/watch-live-leading-contenders-debate-for-the-nyc-democratic-mayoral-primary/3107680/
Does the Vaad recommend candidates. In their roles as officers of a publicly funded entity may they do so?
The PAC has been expanded and those who are connected with Not for Profit organizations that receive government funds money are not on the PAC, except some board members as long as they are not dong so in their capacity as a public servant
He’s going to run the city like dinkins
Im sure some of you are not educated on the elections and that you turn to the vad for advice but i think everybody should pick who they want and if they dont know maybe put aq little researc into it
