Students of the Bais Chana High School in the Brandywine Valley of Delaware put on a spectacular production that showcased their talents, creativity, and teamwork.
Bais Chana High School is home to quite the talented group of students!
Under the leadership of Mrs. Zarie Sugarman and with the guidance of dedicated staff, the students presented “A Glimmer of Hope,” an inspiring rendition of the book A Light For Grey Towers. Old-world England came to life as the girls sang, danced, and performed across the stage.
“The students did an incredible job!” said Mrs. Rochel Flikshtein, Principal and founder of Bais Chana. “But the most impressive part was seeing the support and connection that the girls had for one another throughout the show. You could feel their energy from the audience as many attendees even pointed it out.”
A Glimmer of Hope takes place in an orphanage in old England, where the headmistress treats the girls harshly. A young Jewish girl is brought in as a new ward and soon discovers that all the orphans are, in fact, Jewish girls. She helps them reclaim their heritage by teaching them about Jewish practice, history, and faith. It is a story of strength, love, and hope and highlights the great power each Jewish girl possesses.
The overwhelming support was evident as family and friends flew and drove in from near and far to attend the production. Their presence not only filled the auditorium with love and encouragement but also showcased the profound impact of the students’ hard work.
Bais Chana sends a special thank you to Production Head, Mrs. Sugarman, Costume Director Rochel Judah, Logistics Coordinator Sara Weiss, dorm counselors Batsheva Zaltzman and Chani Sulami, and Backstage Director Connie Sugarman, for their months of hard work and dedication in creating the production.
The professionalism and magnitude of the show was beyond expectation, and the story really touched the hearts of the audience. The students’ talent was evident both on stage and behind the scenes!
Registration is currently open for the 2024-2025 school year with limited spots available to allow Bais Chana to maintain the individualized approach and environment. Visit BaisChanaHS.com for more information or email [email protected].
