Camp YSP – Yeshiva Summer Program of Morristown, New Jersey, will be opening this summer at a rental campsite in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.
The camp for boys who have graduated 8th grade is located on the Rabbinical College of America Campus in Morristown, New Jersey. However, due to coronavirus restrictions in New Jersey, the camp has relocated for the summer of 2020.
In a letter to parents, Director Rabbi Mendel Goldberg informed that they have rented a campsite situated on over 600 beautiful acres in the picturesque Pocono Mountains.
The state-of-the-art facilities will help the camp maintain a safe and healthy environment, he said.
The facilities include many comfortable bunkhouses and spacious buildings to host a Beis Medrash, dining room, learning classes, canteen and multi-purpose Sports Pavilion.
The camp boasts fields for baseball, soccer, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, as well as tennis courts, and a 10-acre freshwater lake with many boating activities as well.
It also features an Olympic size swimming pool, mountain biking trails, high ropes adventure course with a zip line and climbing wall, amphitheater, overnight camping site, skate park, archery range, and laser tag, Goldberg said.
Campers who are registered will continue to receive updates including an exact start date, health plan, safety and programming.
“We are committed to give your son an incredible experience as we celebrate the Shnas Harbaim of YSP,” Rabbi Goldberg said.
Rabbi Goldberg is nonstop working for our children thank you so much!!!
THIS NEW SITE, IS GONNA BE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! CAN’T WAIT TO GO THERE! I hope YSP tries to outdo what they usually do every year this year because of the fact that we. have all been stuck at home for 3 months.
