On Sunday an emotional meeting took place between American students visiting Israel and three young men who were wounded in recent terror attacks.
The trip, called ‘IsraeLinks,’ was organized by Yossi and Chaya Witkes of the Chabad on Campus International Foundation, and was accompanied by Rabbi Leibel and Mushka Lipskier and Illinois Shluchim Rabbi Dovid and Goldie Teichtel.
At a gathering in Jerusalem, the group heard from three victims of terror attacks about their injuries, what it is like dealing with rehabilitation, and assistance given to victims of terrorism from the Chabad Youth Organization.
The participants were moved by the ordeal of the victims, and related that they now viewed the events in Israel and the fight against terrorism from a different perspective.
Students on the three week educational tour of Israel are beneficiaries of the Rackow Family of New York and by a grant from the Rohr Family Foundation.
