A car with Yeshiva Bochrim narrowly escaped a lynching on Thursday afternoon.
According to breaking reports and initial photos from the scene, it appears a vehicle with Yeshiva students lost their way near Hebron while driving to Meoras HaMachpela, and entered an Arab village.
Their car was surrounded and ransacked, with their tefillin and black hats strewn all over the street. The mob of attackers then firebombed the vehicle.
It appears that the IDF was able to rescue the boys, who are now outside the village, and inside an armored IDF vehicle.
One of them, has suffered light injuries.
Police released a statement saying that the vehicle was occupied by 5 Americans.
HASHEM always watches HIS children
goooooooo tzahal!best army in the world
yesterday after Shabbos my daughter and a friend took the wrong bus and ended up in Hebron – or at least at the edge. They are attending seminary in Ramot and eventually called the seminary, realizing they were lost, and the seminary sent a cab to get them. We were in communication with the girls throughout and it was a bit nerve wracking. I am not aware of the details, exactly, but they were not picked up until about 2 a.m. Israel time and at home in bed until around 3. I may be off half an hour either way.… Read more »
Unless this was a dangerous mistake made by some naive American bochurim who had come to tour independently and were not affiliated with a particular group, yeshivah etc. this should not have been allowed to happen. It should be made crystal clear by schools, touring agencies etcetera that no one is to rent a car to go touring or kever-hopping on their own. This should only be permitted in supervised groups, traveling with armed personnel in bullet proof buses. Often free-world kids don’t really get it; they forget that we are, unfortunately, still in galus, even in eretz Yisroel.
Baruch HaShem they are alive
If we acted like we own this god given land NO ONE WOULD SAY A WORD.
And finally,No media allowed in these areas they are our biggest enemies.
Feels like the holocaust
does anyone know if there is a way for us to give a donation of thanks to the family that saved these men?
Things like this need to be publicized so the world can see a two-state solution is IMPOSSIBLE with these barbarians.
it has an option that is on by default called. They most probably didn’t use waze or didn’t follow directions, also there are large Red signs in front of each road that leads to those areas, in 3 languages warning that it is a danger to enter them.
“Avoid dangerous areas, and areas A,B (which are prohibited by Israeli law)
Thanks for letting us know that they were sheltered. The people who sheltered them were endangering their own lives! Amazing.
WAZE actually could differentiate , its in the setting and they would avoid you all these area .
problem: all those crazy lefties are trying to stop this feature in WAZE
Please publicize, An Arab family saved them in their home. Hakaras hatov.
Most Israelis know that there are clear instructions NOT to use WAZE when navigating anywhere in Judea and Samaria. It is simply not safe, because the software does not and cannot differentiate between the changing boundaries of the Palestinian Authority-controlled areas and those legally accessible by Israeli civilians. NO ONE SHOULD BE USING WAZE ANYWHERE IN JUDEA OR SAMARIA. PERIOD. IT IS NOT SAFE. That was publicized in all media and it is known everywhere in the country.
They would have killed if they could have. That ‘s what you can expect from these barbarians.
This is not stam a question of ” we shouldn’t think like the secular world.” This is simply about hanhalla, parents, and students having a realistic view of who our neighbors are and what the results of a wrong turn could be. BH they were spared! We have a mitzva to protect our lives and not to rely on miracles. None of the above contradicts the Rebbe’s teachings. BTW, I have heard several stories of “Waze” taking people to dangerous Arab places in Eretz Yisroel.
Venishmartem.. es Nafshoseichem…people need to know where NOT to enter, especially in Eretz Yisrael, to do otherwise is irresponsible. Surely the Rebbe has no problem with that Hora’ah, especially to benei Chutz laAretz, who do not know the territory. There is nothing “secular” about being aware of one’s surroundings and not putting people in danger. Boruch Hashem these Bachurim are well.
Eretz Yisroel is the safest place in the work not dangerous. We can’t be affected by the way the secular world views things we can’t let their view infiltrate our circles. We know what the Rebbe tells us!!
What country in the world do you take a wrong turn and you die but it’s all ok with the world.
That’s exactly what they are.
What is their problem! So what they drove in their village? That doesn’t mean they can ransack and destroy their vehicle. Savages! Look at the garbage all on the floor!
bh! Thank you Hashem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These guys are savages
They are loooking for any excuse to harm yidden
They should bench gomel
Such peace loving people I must say.
Timche et zecher amelek.
listen people, parents of bochurim…please do not temp driving to the places without security. Bochurim don’t go unarmed or without guards. This is very dangerous and you could have Gd forbid, been killed.
Be sensible yeshiva heads, they are young boys with not experience.
A mum
What a miracle!
B”H the boys are safe!
Thank G-d they got out of there alive!!!
These regional Arabs have no place in Eretz Israel.
