Not exactly, the Rebbe reached out to the Yemenite Jewish community from day one that they landed in Israel in 1951-2, and in fact the Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Kfar Chabad (started in Lod) was actually called “Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch L’Olei Russia v’Teiman” (the Lubavitcher Yeshiva for immigrants of Russia and Yemen) so Chabad and Yemen are synonymous ever since the Rebbe became Rebbe some 65 years ago. Today we have 3rd & 4th generation Yemenite Chabadniks.

Beutiful

Another amazing example of the Rebbes hafotzo spreading everywhere. Who would have thought 40 years ago that there would be thousands of Lubavitcher Chassidim of Yeminite descent? The Rebbe mamosh tapped into every possibility to be meifitz Chassidus!
