Today, Kislev 17, is the 4th yahrzeit of Rabbi Schneur Zalman Itkin OBM, the dedicated and beloved Chabad Shliach in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, who worked with students at McMaster University.
After 28 years on Shlichus with his wife Faigie and children, he suddenly passed away at the age of 54 as he was preparing for his daughter’s wedding.
His family will be visiting his gravesite in the Old Montefiore cemetery in Queens, NY, at 3 PM today.
At 8 PM, the family is inviting his friends and acquaintances to join a Farbrengen in his memory at 405 Crown Street, Brooklyn.

I remember as we where sitting at the kinus hashlucjim, at a campus sesion, he sat there, with us, young guys, as a eqaul. I was blwon away, he was so humble, so loving,
When you looked at his humble demeanour, his way of talking, communicating with other yiddin’, his penetrating eyes, you could see a part of Moshe Rabbeinu, the Riya D’Hemna tending to his local kehila and other sectors of Jewish life in Southern Ontario.
He was such a chasidsher beindel! He is truly missed! Moshiach Now!!!
