Yagdil Torah, a non-profit promoting learning Torah in Crown Heights, has opened a new center on the ground floor of a private house at 574 Empire Boulevard for its Heichal Halimud Center for Torah Learning.
An inauguration ceremony and ribbon cutting took place on Sunday, with prominent speakers and a tour of the new location.
Equipped with an extensive Seforim library and a “comfortable atmosphere,” Heichal Halimud will be the perfect venue for chavrusa learning, personal study and small shiurim.
The Bais Medrash was dedicated by the Barber family in loving memory of their father R’ Yitzchak ben R’ Eliyahu OBM, and by Chabad philanthropist David Slager and family.
“Inspired by the Rebbe’s Mivtzah Torah campaign, we set out to provide a sanctuary for Anash to sit and learn Torah at leisure,” Yagdil Director Rabbi Levi Browd said.
“As we all know, Limmud Torah is paramount for a strong foundation in both Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit.”
Yitzchok you look great I love you man.
but kibud av comes first
my opinion is dont be afraid to involve food
food brings people and what better place to eat then in a makom torah
I am very proud of moments like these,
Levi and Batsheva Browd have done much for this community, thank you!
Yo, wat you up to? great seeing u!
Shimon,
You make us proud, so now we dont have to shlep to the kolel to learn ? 😉
it would have been nice to see some community leaders and robonim at such an important event in CH. Limmud Hatorah is the most important thing, so imagine the impression they would have made by being there and showning their great support for this holy mosod! It would show whats important to them, and give people a push to make chavruses and come learn there, seeing it’s important to our community and its leaders. Maybe people would even take other initiatives into their own hands and start things that are right?
With in a few years this mosod is growing so much,Levi Browd hatzlocho rabbo
