This is an awesome undertaking Mordy. Next time if you have the gelt, rent one of those huge highway rigs, with shiny spiked chrome hubcaps, and high front ends, with the orange and red lights on the front cab, show the world what it means to be b’simcha.

    totally unnecessary!

why do we need the world biggest sukkah???
why do we need to plugg up the city with a huge trailer and get people who actually work for a living be all late and stuck in traffic getting eber more angry with lobavitch and their sukkah??
isn’t it enough to have regular practical sukkah or as many as you want to be able to bring the holiday message to many many jews without all the trouble this one bring? not to mension the cost
Lubavitch is not only about the biggest, longest, fastest, highest, and stupidest!!!!

im not sure if you work in the city, or if you even work at all. Here are the facts: Many many people work in the city and are in need of a sukkah to eat in. Chabad supplies it. and you say “late” “stuck in traffic” “more angry with lobavitch”… What better way is there to keep business working on time, then by giving easy Sukkah access?! What better way is there to cut traffic, then by offering people a Sukkah near the work place?! and what better way is there to get people to love Lubavich then by… Read more »

That Sukka is a Chilul Lubavitch, totally!
Thr Bochurim who stand outside of it – Kol HaKavod!
But to Mordy, it’s a major Chillul Lubavitch to bring a Sukkah to a non proper restaurant, it’s almost like Chabad is giving an OK to the restaurant….
let them find some other “looser” to bring them a sukkah

not even one showing a single individual or visitor to the succah. whats the point?

Frankly, though, I would have been more impressed if I had seen people actually using it! Now THAT would have been a greater kiddush Hashem.

    S'chach

I assume the s’chach is placed on the sukkah when it is parked, otherwise it would fly off while in motion.

What a special Mitzvah it is to bring a sukkah to YIDEN who’d eat inside a restaurant or pizza store! Sukkah mobiles are there for the PEOPLE who’d anyway come eat enabling them to fulfill the mitzvah of Sukkos. Yasher Koach to the organizers!

to #6 What about all the frum people that want to go to work but have nowhere to eat, B. its parked C. you were ever there, from morning to evening it is jammed packed,

to #14 You probably have no clue which restaurant the sukkah is parked at

furthermore, the Sukkah is totally sponsored by the restaurant so the Sukkah Mobile 1) provides frum working people somewhere to eat 2) provides non-frum people with the opportunity to do a Mitzvah. Total costs accrued: $0
Not sure where the problem is.

What’s with this mess? It looks like it should be hauling Christmas trees from Canada. Why don’t you Jews eat in the back of a UPS truck or sit on a bench like normal people.
And what kind of Jews work in Times Square anyway? I thought all of you work in B&H?
