It was a night of laughs and love and lasagna.
On Motzei Shabbos Parshas Va’era, 100 Crown Heights women gathered to celebrate the Women’s Circle’s 6th annual melava malka. Over a lavish milchig buffet, attendees celebrated another year of successful learning and programming.
Mrs. Esther Sternberg shared stories of great women in her life, as per the evening’s theme of strong women. The audience was moved by vivid portrayals of how these real women used their inner strength to achieve tremendous heights. Women laughed and learned during Mrs. Devora Ita Lewis’ hilarious take on happiness in the home.
The Women’s Circle is not only active one night a year. Join us each Wednesday morning at The Shul, 481 Albany, for learning and friendship. Special evening events happen frequently as well. For more information join our email list by emailing [email protected].

Mrs. Sternberg always gets me out the door
there’s no-one quite like her
the way she goes from true story to true story, remembering details, sharing things in such a warm and moving way.
our national treasure
the fact that she believes in the women’s circle and supports it just makes me feel the same.
