Does it change to Ben the father?
I have always wondered why, after a person passes, they are “Ben or Bat their father” but when you say Yizkor in Nusach Ari, its Ben or Bat the Mother.
Anyone?
I have been asking this exact question for many years, and did not hear of an answer
I believe Rabbi Garelik refers to the question in his sefer, but does not answer it either
It does seem to be in nusach Arizal and not others
I’ve always wondered about this!
