B”H, Kan Tzivah Hashem Es HaBrochoh

Shalom U’Verocho
More often than not, the op-eds we eagerly open are the ones that bash those in charge, put down those that are meant to be helping us, and let out frustrations, legitimate or not, about our politicians.
Sadly we don’t always take the time to acknowledge the good deeds that are done for us. We too often forget the importance of being ‘makir tov’, of showing appreciation for the good that others do for us.
So we would like to put forward our long overdue thank you to the office of our Congressperson Ms. Yvette Clarke and her dedicated community liaison R’ Eli Slavin.
B”H not too long ago our family celebrated a wedding of a grandchild overseas, with family members from across the globe flying to be there and to celebrate together.
However due to some unfortunate bureaucratic blunders and issues, we needed special assistance, and thanks to our Congressperson Yvette Clarke, the red tape was cleared, the senseless stress and aggravation was removed and it was B’ezras Hashem made possible for the wedding to take place with all of the bride’s beloved grandparents, Shlit”a, in attendance.
We, as a family would like to publicly acknowledge and thank R’ Eli Slavin who went beyond the call of duty, making himself available for us literally at all hours of the night to help us resolve our crisis. Despite the time differences across the world he was there for us. With his selfless devotion, patience and understanding, the mission was accomplished and we were all able to enjoy together B’shah Tovah Umutzlachas.
To the office of our Congressperson Ms. Yvette Clarke we say thank you so much, it’s refreshing and good to know there are still some true public servants around looking out for us, their constituents.
We hope and pray that there will be only simchos for all of Klal Yisroel, and should assistance be needed, may it only be for joyous occasions, may we all be zoche to the most joyous occasion, the coming of Moshiach now.
Yasher Koach!

I called the USPS customer service # on Wednesday to pay a compliment – they weren’t exactly sure how to handle it! But I thanked them for keeping the mail coming throughout the storm and noted that I had been at the S. Johns station that afternoon and they were working very quickly and pleasantly!
I am not surprised that it’s the Raskins who are publicly showing their hakoros hatov – for the smallest acts they respond with tremendous gratitude.

Then again, this morning I saw COLLIVE with this Op-ed and I said nice again.
With all the aggravation all around us, this is making me feel a bit better.
An inspirational and positive article is what EVERYONE craves.
Mazel tov to you and yours.
I showed my children this article (Op-ed) and told them this is the Yiddish way.
