Made by the Shluchim of yeshiva schools of Pittsburgh:
What does a Rebbe mean to a chassid? A leader? A mentor? A teacher?
A Rebbe is the life force within a chassid.
A chassid lives with what the Rebbe wants in every aspect of his life.
He loves his Rebbe with every fiber of his being.
What did the Rebbe want?
The Rebbe demanded from his chassidim to learn Torah and do mitzvos in the best way possible
Refusing to give in to the world and the culture around us.
It wasn’t enough that we do it ourselves
The Rebbe wanted us to get everyone on board.
We as chassidim are faced with a darkness after Gimmel Tammuz 5754.
We can no longer see our Rebbe, be encouraged by his energy, experience his love first hand.
But in truth we experience all that in a deeper way today than ever before.
We know what the Rebbe wants from us and we know the Rebbe gives us the strength to keep up with him in this dark golus.
We grow stronger and stronger every year.
Just look at how many shluchim are sent yearly, how many Talmidim still follow his ways.
We will continue to shturem away with chayus, living Geulah and doing the Rebbe’s holy work.
Through watching videos, learning his Torah, and going in his ways we strengthen our hiskashrus to our Nossi Hador.
Just like the historic moment when Yehoshua stopped the sun on Gimmel Tammuz it started the redemption for Klal Yisroel,
Gimmel Tammuz today seems dark, but it is really a preparation for Moshiach.
