Whre has Mr. Weiner been the past two years? Or Shumer? Asleep. Now he deems it politically convenient to say a word about it. Big deal. A pure self serving opportunist.

#6 halachos not chumros
August 9, 2010 12:21 pm

people may not realize that keeping ones collarbone, knees and elbows covered etc. are not chumros. these are halachos.

Dressing according to halacha is a vessel for lots of brachos, and being machmir, presumably a vessel for even more brachos.

and B”H they are committed to keeping halacha!

Just the mere fact of this gentleman leaning over and discussing a judicial matter in professional terms is already a solid assurance of good things to come. It’s the same when the Akeret Habayit sets the stage for spiritual growth with nightly phone call conversations with other mothers, discussing and planning the next day’s agenda.

First of all, please comment respectfully. you are assuming that you are the ONLY ONE who knows what is going on. ARROGANCE.

Politicians do and can have a roll. Mainly to bring the whole issue to the forefront. If you thing that that will not help than think again….

If non-Jews don’t support laws and courts of justice they bring on themselves and others death and destruction. If it doesn’t come through the hands of an earthly court it can, sadly, come from G-d Alm-ty. For a ‘super power’ to have such a system as they have here is an embarrassment to all thinking and concerned Americans. An innocent man, his family and… Read more »

Let me give you a glimpse into the real world – not the one your involvement starts and ends from reading about it. There is nothing – i repeat, nothing – politicians can do at the moment to help Rubashkin. You can comment and demand all you like but tachles – you can ask the family, his lawyers and askanim – the matter is not in the hand of government officials. All the petitions and letters and phone calls are all a waste of time at this point. All this will be needed only after the appeal – if it… Read more »
