Why do you think “people are failing to realize…”?
What you fail to realize is that photos 1 & 2 are two separate Farbrengens in the same hall!
People are failing to realize that pic 3 is not the same farbrengen and hall as pic 1 & 2. Also, Pic 3 appears to be a bit later, the Rebbe looks a bit older in pic 3 than in pics 1 & 2

On Yud tes kislav and other big dates the rebbe would not be in 770 this went on till they made 770 bigger
That’s the father of Reb Yaakov Moshe and Reb Bentzion Friedman, of Friedman family fame.

The shalash was not converted to a building until late 1961. So this could have been 1960, or even early 1961.

From the beginning of the nesius 5710 (1950), all the Rebbe’s Farbrengens were held in the small zal upstairs. Starting from the mid yuds (1950’s), almost all Farbrengens took place in the “shalash”, the courtyard which was adjacent to the original building of 770. The “shalash” was covered with a canvas to protect from rain and snow. The sides remained exposed to freezing cold air in the winter, and hot humid air in the summer.
