As many of you have seen in your email inbox or all over your facebook page, there are a ton of people spreading the word to vote for Friendship Circle to win $1 Million.
I took a look Thursday night at the leaderboard.
Friendship Circle, an organization for special needs children which was founded and run by Chabad Shluchim, is currently in 4th place with 51,004 votes.
First, allow me to express my surprise and awe that a Jewish / Orthodox / Ultra Orthodox / Haredi / Chassidic / Lubavitch organization would put up such a fight against these established non-profits with mass following and audience.
The fact that we – yes, every Jew and Lubavitcher is part of us – got so high is already a social media Kiddush Hashem.
But my second point: the #1 spot has 89,707.
I think to myself there are only 24 hours left in this competition and “we” are struggling to put together another 50,000 votes to comfortably push Friendship Circle to #1?!
I wasn’t sure where to turn, I really wanted to get this off my chest, so I turn to what I think the best choice is: COLlive.com.
Dear readers, perhaps you don’t have the financial means right now to give the tzedaka like you’d want to, but here is the perfect easy opportunity to go online and vote for Friendship Circle.
While the achdus Lubavitch and the Shluchim have shown here is unprecedented, and I know of many who are working their guts off, people in the know estimated that some 50% did not vote yet.
We have a unique opportunity to show that we are big enough to win this competition and show the world the great work we do and the tremendous positive effect we have on the people we serve.
Please, get people involved. It’s a 29-second process. Tell your friends, your neighbors and your co-workers. We can do this.
Go to www.VoteFC.com
(PS: COLlive, thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my feelings. I want to stress that I do not work for Friendship Circle of Michigan, nor do I have any affiliation with Friendship Circle chapters. I do have family and friends with special needs.)

4. Knocked on neighbors doors and walked them through the process.
Not affiliated with Friendship circle at all, but I think this could be a tremendous Kiddush Hashem and benefit all of us in bringing a little more awareness of what Chabad does on the chessed front.

firstly FC is not lubavitch nor chassidic nor haredi neither ultra orthdox and barely Jewish…Just like Guess is not a Jewish company altough it owned by jews FC is a org. for jew and non Jews alike like they proudly proclaim, which i thinik is Gr8
What the big deal that a Chabad (which they proclaim to be) which had 10,000 full time employees with a lot of time on tier hands is this competain??
Numerous shluchim with FB accounts have NOT voted!!! A shandeh! Everyone should vote and get all their ‘friends’ to do likewise.
if NOT can i vote for the lowest underdog?
if each 10,000 voter DONATE ONLY 15min to open an account for 3 sybs/friends
your 15Min = 30,000 more votes!!!!!!!!
we CAN give $1,000.000.00!!!!! this way
1 of the problems is that, allot of the people being solicited by friends of friendship circle to vote, go online vote for f.c. & then see some other very nice organizations, and use their remaining 4 votes to vote for them, which basically makes the use of their vote pointless as they are not minimizing the gap between f.c. and the organizations in their lead. i therefore think that although it isn’t nice to express explicitly, “don’t vote for the other organizations” it is important to stress to people, that for the maximum results of their vote, they should… Read more »
And walk them through the voting. If you know what to do it IS 29 seconds–even on Erev Shabbos. People new to Face Book might get confused and give up. So, to the phones we go! Plus, you have other people in other time zones (East Coast etc.) where Shabbos comes in latter, and in South America where it is Summer and Shabbos comes in even later. Prod them to vote!
They should have gotten all the campus shluchim to tell heir fb student-friends, who usually have around 1000 fb friends to spread the word.. but now theres only 1 day left
I used a fake name but a real email address is required to verify the account was created legitimately.
Becoming a ‘fan’ of Chase Community Giving is required.
After placing your final vote you can cancel the Facebook account.
