Aliya Shabbatons have become the highlights of the year. It is way more than just a Shabbaton with a ski trip. It is 60 hours of pure joy, inspiration, ahavas yisroel, singing, rejoicing, rejuvenation, getting a much needed break from the city, connecting with friends, celebrating Shabbos like never before and reconnecting with our true selves.
This year’s Shabbaton went to a whole new level. The pure joy was tangible by all and Shabbos was beyond inspirational. After a highly energized Kabbolas Shabbos filled with song, we enjoyed a delicious Shabbos meal which rolled into a farbrengen until early morning.
Everyone present expressed their utter delight to be sharing this amazing Shabbos and felt fortunate to be there. Several members went as far to say that it was their best Shabbos experience of their lives. Everyone celebrated Shabbos to the best of their abilities and felt great about it. Despite being up late again on Motzei Shabbos with a BBQ, kumzitz and a pilgrimage to Wal-Mart, everyone got up early Sunday morning to enjoy an exciting day on the slopes.
Our group made a decision together, at the conclusion of this incredible experience, was to try to bring the joy, love and positivity back to Brooklyn to share with our friends and embody these feelings into everything we do.
