Watch: Oneness Symposium in Memory of R’ Yoel Kahn

Today is the Yartzeit of Reb Yoel Kahn obm, the legendary Chassid, Mashpia and Chief Chozer (Oral Scribe) of the Rebbe – whom he handpicked to transcribe and produce all the Ma’amorim and Sichos throughout the Nesius.

Another unique project which the Rebbe tasked Reb Yoel with was the creation of the “Chabad Encyclopedia” known as “Sefer HoArochim – Chabad”.  Over the years, he produced 9 volumes, and they were all before reaching the letter ב (beis)!

The last two volumes – which were the focus of his last decade – are mostly dedicated to the theme of Echad / Achdus, the Oneness of Hashem – which is a fundamental teaching in Chasidus in general and Chabad in particular. Hundreds of pages are dedicated to the various dimensions and manifestations of Hashem’s oneness and the marvelous depth and clarity he brings to the topic is astounding.

Last year, in honor of the Shloshim of Reb Yoel a”h, a new initiative was launched: The Oneness Symposium.

For a full day, from 10am to 10pm, at the start of every hour there was another presentation on the theme of Oneness, based on an entry in Sefer Ho’Arochim.

Hundreds of Anash from around the world participated in this first ever symposium on Achdus Hashem.

It was a miniature version of the fulfillment of the prophecy that when Moshiach comes, as the Rambam writes, “the sole occupation of humanity will be the knowledge of Hashem alone.”

On one’s Yahrtzeit all the cumulative work in this world shines forth, and increases even brighter radiance in the world.

In honor of his Yartzeit today, 6 Menachem-Av, we are sharing the replay video recordings of those 12 presenters. Most were in English, a few in Hebrew and Yiddish.
