A Men’s Night was held in Crown Heights to support the Girls Space and Loft of Crown Heights, featuring a warm Kumzitz with singer Yanky Lemmer.
The evening was a success, raising awareness and funds for the organization and benefitting their crucial and impactful work for our community’s teens and youth.
A word from the hosts:
Dear Community,
Thank you for coming out and supporting the young women of Crown Heights. Thanks for showing up, and showing that you care. You are supporting the future mothers, teachers, and community leaders. More than that, you are saving some literal lives.
“Can’t quite explain what it’s like performing immediately after Shiva. Jarring yet therapeutic, dissonant but harmonious…no words. Thanks to all who came out last night.” – Yanky Lemmer
“First time in The Space CH and it’s amazing! Great vibes. The event proved that you can have so much fun- even outside of the Arches!” – Mendy Pellin
“Beautiful event, nice that so many people showed up to support, it’s important for people to understand what this organization does, it’s so helpful to so many teen girls, nothing like it in Crown Heights, and I highly suggest that if you’re not involved or you don’t know anything about it, spend 5 minutes of your time walking through, come visit and see what’s going on.” – Rabbi Moshe Pinson
“All in attendance were profoundly impressed by the powerful, transformative impact and expansive reach of The Space and the enormous unmet need the Space could expand to address with adequate resources. The Crown heights community owes a deep debt of gratitude to Rabbi Meir and Chaviva New, and to Chana Ciment and her colleagues for envisioning and implementing the space and its enriching and empowering programming.” – Rabbi Moshe Weiner
