By Shlucha Shterni Gruzman – Vienna, Austria
“Are you a Shlucha?” asked the guests to their host on Friday night?
The answer was a negative one.
I pondered that response and the following thought entered my mind: “Aren’t Crown Heightsers shluchos too?”
They constantly cater to every person landing at their doorstep. They very often aid the Shluchim worldwide, especially during the weekend of the Kinus Hashluchos.
Finding places to stay during the kinus weekend, is just one example of many, that is almost an impossible act. Every home in Crown Heights is full to capacity with many guests.
The Lauder Chabad High School group just returned from their grand Hakhel trip to New York. The group of girls from Vienna had an unbelievable experience, one to last a lifetime.
The thank you list is very long, but first we would like to show our gratitude to the One Above who gave us the strength for this unbelievable project.
Many visit New York, tour the Big Apple, daven in 770 and at the Ohel, but what is very special about this group is the fact that these are outstanding second generation students of the school.
The close connection and influence everyone has from the Rebbe is sevenfold when talking about children who were educated in the Rebbe’s institution.
The following individuals made this dream into a reality, a dream every Shlucha has.
Thanks to the Libmans, Cadaners, Tesslers, Rosens, Gansburgs and Simpsons who have opened their homes and hearts to our girls.
A special thank you to Mrs. Leah Gansburg for enthusiastically supporting the idea and hosting most of the group, Yasher Koach.
The Shabbos meals were “meeyn olam habo,” as our gracious hostesses Mrs. Yaffie Simpson and family and Mrs. Dalia Reichman and family prepared seudas melochim for the entire crowd.
Much appreciation to our lively and fun madrichot: Rechyl Eisenbach, Devora Leah and Blumie Rosenfeld who have received special permission from Morah Shaindel Teichtel, who have guided and inspired the students throughout the week.
Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Sara Labkowski and Mrs. Chaimson on their wonderful hachnosas orchim.
Thanks to the shluchos who farbrenged with the girls, Dorit Wagner from Siberia and Miriam Gross from Los Angeles. Their words penetrated into the hearts of the students.
Rishi Raichick, you totally amazed the girls with your inspirational talk and warm invitation. Molly Resnick, our group had a great time at the Melave Malka, total fun.
Last but not least, we would like to thank Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky for giving us the opportunity to join the banquet, one of the highlights of the trip and to Rabbi Shneur Najar for his outstanding advice and concern until the last detail.
May Hashem bentch every one of you with brochos ad bli dai, only revealed good. May we all be zoche to the coming of Moshiach Miyad.
A house that’s always open to all!
An amazing family, and incredible Hachnasas Orchim!
Yashar Koach.
The Gruzmans are incredible Shluchim!
They also open their home and hearts at all times as well, in the most hospitable way possible!
May Hashem grant them much strength to continue in their holy work in good health!
What a project! Rabbi and Mrs. Gruzman are one of the most “ibergegebene” shluchim I’ve met in my life. Their whole being is to give to their students all they can. As if it’s their own children. You can see it through the love these students have for them.
Keep up the great work! heart warming!
Best cousins!
Hope they understood Swiss German.
Blumi Rosenfeld! Best shlucha!!!
