The levaya of Rabbi Shimon Raichik, a longtime Shliach of the Rebbe and Rov of Congregation Levi Yitzchok in Los Angeles, took place on Thursday, 21 Kislev.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Chana Liba Raichik (nee Gansburg), their children Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Raichik – Boynton Beach, Florida; Mrs. Simi Ghods – Los Angeles; Rabbi Yisroel Noach Raichik – Crown Heights; Mrs. Sterna Sarah Gurary – Los Angeles; Rabbi Moshe Raichik – Brooklyn, NY; Mrs. Chaya Mushka Zaltzman – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Avrohom Abba Raichik – Los Angeles; and grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings R’ Abi Raichik – Los Angeles; R’ Elazar Raichik – Crown Heights; Mrs. Devori Wilhelm – Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Suri Klyne – Los Angeles; R’ Levi Raichik – Los Angeles; Rabbi Sholom Raichik – Gaithersburg, Maryland; R’ Yanky Raichik – Los Angeles; and Mrs. Chanie Hanoka – Pasadena, California; nieces and nephews.
The levaya is leaving on Thursday at 11:00 AM from Congregation Levi Yitzchok in Hancock Park, and then passing by Yeshiva Ohr Elchanan Chabad, Ohel Chana, Bais Chaya Mushka, and Cheder Menachem, Chabad schools in Los Angeles.
The kevurah will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

Rabbi Shimon Raichik ob”m exemplified ahavath Israel, even for converts. Rabbi Raichik never raised his voice. He was full of chessed, anavah and good middos. As a Rabbi he lead the congregation in perfecting mitzvot. His Shul bulletin was a joy to read and kept us all informed of the daily happenings past, present and future.
