The two young Chabad Shluchim who came to California’s Valley this past year received a warm welcome from their new colleagues at an annual gathering.
The regional Kinus Hashluchim to the Valley took place this past Motzoei Shabbos at Chabad of Encino – Finder Family Educational Center in Encino, CA.
There are some 34 Shluchim couples working in 25 Chabad centers in the Valley, led by Head Shliach Rabbi Yehoshua Gordon.
At the Melave Malka, 30 of those Shluchim who attended gave a warm welcome to Rabbi Leibel Kahanov of Agoura and Rabbi Meir Rivkin of Granada Hills, who recently joined the ranks with their wives and childen.
As always, encouraging words were shared and the achdus and camaraderie were strongly felt, COLlive was told.
“Everyone left in an uplifted frame of mind as we enter into Chanukah,” Rabbi Gordon noted.
