A special Farbrengen was held Monday night in New York for the new group of Israeli bochurim that arrived for the new 5770 learning year.
It was organized by the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva – 770 and held in Getzel’s Shul in Crown Heights.
What stood out was the gathering of all the Yeshiva’s staff – Rabbis Yoel Kahn, Shlomo Zarchi, Kuti Feldman, Itche Shpringer and Yekusiel Rapp.
Reb Yoel, the choizer who memorized the Rebbe’s teachings for publication, spoke about the need to learn Chasidic Maamarim.
“I said this in the past and will keep saying this: we don’t need to look for ‘new things.’ A bochur needs to know Maamarim by heart,” he said.
“They need to be engraved in your minds so you can think Chasidus before davening or anytime.”
