Beginning with his trademark, “And now dear children… story time!” thousands of Jewish children got to know the man with the friendly voice as Rabbi Yosef Goldstein as he hosted his weekly “Tzivos Hashem On The Air” radio show in the mid 80’s on a local New York radio station.
In addition to his prolific recordings of Story Time, Rabbi Goldstein, or “Uncle Yossi,” taught and entertained his radio audiences for over 10 years (over 550 episodes) during a packed half-hour program on each Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
Tens of thousands of Jewish homes across the Tri-State would tune in to hear him share Jewish stories, songs, and timely lessons.
A highlight of the show was always the build up to story time. Hundreds of exciting stories were serialized over many weeks, and children would return each week to hear the next installment. Luckily, all of these stories have been preserved on reel-to-reel tapes.
This third book in the Uncle Yossi’s Big Book of Stories series is the first to contain 12 delightful adventures as told by Rabbi Goldstein on the radio show. It is now available for your purchase and enjoyment.
