Simultaneous Gan Israel camps for both boys and girls in the UK recently wrapped a successful season in Wales.
The boys camp, directed by Rabbi and Mrs. Refoel Nachman Dubov and Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Muller was located in Cefn Coch, Wales at the Redridge Outdoor Centre.
The camp’s Head counselor Motti Schochet, together with an excellent team of counselors from Brunoy Yeshiva gave the campers a fantastic time. The centre’s activities included rock climbing, zip lining, caving, archery and kayaking. Inspiring farbrengens and hachlota – good resolutions made during their time in camp truly added to the experience.
The girls overnight camp was located in the Morfa Bay Adventure Centre in Wales, and was directed by Rabbi and Mrs. Nissan Dovid Dubov, Rabbi and Mrs. Zalman Lewis and Rabbi and Mrs. Peretz Chein.
The camp spirit was truly exceptional and it felt like one long farbrengen, campers said.
Activities included coasteering, archery, swimming, zip lining and much more.
The Head counselors Shaina Dubov, Chana Sima Austin, Devora Soblick, Mushky Dubov, Shifi Raichik and Leah Groner were superb together with a really fantastic staff that gave the girls a truly amazing blend of the best gashmius and ruchnius.
Rabbi Nissan Dovid Dubov commented, “When the Rebbe said that camp was 24 hours in the atmosphere of the Rebbe – that was seen clearly in camp – for the campers, Yiddishkeit, Chassidishkeit and Rebbe were alive and real, and something all the campers will live with the entire year and the rest of their lives. This was all due to the outstanding dedication of the staff, whom we thank profusely,” he said.
