Tragedy has struck the well known and respected Blesofsky family, Shluchim in Manchester, UK.

On 22 Shvat, as widely reported in the Jewish press, a van carrying 12 bochurim overturned on the way back to Yeshiva.

Zalman Blesofsky was horrifically injured. He is currently is intubated and sedated in NJ hospital, as the doctor’s work around the clock to save Zalman’s life.

The medical auxiliary care, on top of what insurance is paying, is set to be astronomical.

In addition, Zalman’s mother, a respected mechaneches and therapist, has travelled to NJ to be with her son. Because the father suffers from MS (multiple sclerosis), she is the main breadwinner.

This very respected Manchester family, whose chesed and open home is known far and wide, the father who spreads Yiddishkeit and inspires people daily – despite his life altering health condition and need to be in a wheelchair – is at risk of being torn apart by the sudden financial crisis.

We CANNOT allow a fellow Chassidishe family, who are already traumatised by the accident, to crumble under financial strain.

The family is very well known in Manchester and far beyond, Shluchim who are dedicated to spreading Yiddishkeit to everyone close and far.
