After the sudden passing this week of Reb Yossi Greenglass obm, a group of his close friends have come together to launch the writing of a Sefer Torah in his memory.
Rabbi Yossi Greenglass lived an extraordinary life dedicated to Torah learning and Mitzvos.
He was a member of the Chabad community in Montreal, and served as a fundraiser for the Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Montreal, Canada. No matter the weather, through snow, sleet and hail, Rabbi Greenglass could be seen going from place to place collecting Tzedakah boxes for the Yeshiva.
He was known as a real Mentch; someone who paid attention to everyone around him and greeted everyone with a smile.
An exemplary Torah scholar, Reb Yossi spent many hours learning and concluded the Shas multiple times throughout his life.
As someone who lived a life dedicated to others, and one who leaves no children behind, it is only fitting that his friends are paying tribute to his life and legacy by writing a brand new Sefer Torah in his memory.
Everyone is invited to be a part of this initiative to honor the memory of Reb Yossi. You can acquire a letter, Passuk or Parsha in this special Sefer Torah being written in memory of a very special Yid.
