Family and friends of the Scheinfeld family gathered in Crown Heights Sunday for the completion of a new Torah dedicated in memory of Moty Scheinfeld OBM, at his second Yartzeit.
This past Cheshvan, at Moty’s first Yartzeit, the family began writing a Sefer Torah. A most treasured Mitzvah, it symbolizes Ahavas Yisroel, each letter connecting to another, unifying all of us for this special cause.
During Shiva, many people shared fond memories and anecdotes of how Moty greeted everyone with a smile, never held a grudge and did his utmost to be helpful in community causes.
“What greater way to perpetuate his love of every person than the Mitzvah of writing a Sefer Torah,” his family said.
The celebration began with the writing of the final letters of the Sefer Torah.
Later, the Torah was led with singing and dancing to Bais Eliezer Yitzchok Shul on Kingston Ave. followed by Hakofos, song and dance.
Very beautiful mitzvah for the memory a very special man Reb Mordechai Tsvi, OBM, by his very special and lovely family. Moshiach NOW. May this mitzvah bring us light years closer to Moshiach.
mazel tov to moishe
Mazeltov on this mitzva to my talmida Rozi.
it is even more special to me, i was a classmate of the original Rozie Kurman Scheinfeld o”h.
Only simchos from now on.
wow moshiach now!!!
I love you Moty…always
The above posuk expresses the simche by the hachnosas sefer toiro. But why davke this posuk? If you start by the last letter in the first word and take every second letter the name of Reb Mordechaj z”l emerges. You may not have noticed him before, but now that you know, you actually see him there in the middle of the dancing!
