Historical! The rare Meyuchasim auction of the Tiferet Auction House introduces, close to the Yahrzeit of Maran the Ba’al Shem Tov, the most important items of the Chassidic words including, first and foremost, the Parashiyot Tefillin that were handwritten by the pious scribes of the Ba’al Shem Tov.7
The holy Ba’al Shem Tov, the founder of Chassidut and Or Shivat Hayamim passed away on Shavu’ot.
Close to Shavu’ot and the Ba’al Shem Tov’s Yahrzeit, a one-time historical opportunity presents itself: the opportunity to touch, to feel the holy Parashiyot of the Tefillin that were practically in the holy Heichal of the Ba’al Shem Tov, to soke up the atmosphere, aura and spirit.
There are one-time opportunities that present themselves once in six or twelve months, yet they are still considered rare.
There are even rarer one-time opportunities. Birkat Hachama, for example, takes place once every 28 years. Hence, can be considered a truly one-time event.
There are, however, events that are literally one-time. Unique. There never was and never will be another opportunity – the opportunity to touch and maybe, if you are truly fortunate, to acquire at an enormous cost a Parasha of the Tefillin written by one of the scribes of the holy Ba’al Shem Tov. Such an opportunity now presents itself at the Meyuchasim auction of the Tiferet Auction House.
Cheftzei Tzaddikim are considered sacred and a Segulah, even though they are just inanimate objects.
All the more so, the Parashiyot Tefillin that were handwritten by two of the greatest Sofrei Hamelech – the court scribes of the holy Ba’al Shem Tov.
The first – Parashiyot that were written by the famed scribe, the Tzaddik Kabbalist Rabbi Zvi Sofer, who was one of the leading disciples of the Ba’al Shem Tov and the only one of them who travelled with him to Eretz Yisroel.
Rabbi Zvi received from the Ba’al Shem Tov lofty, sublimes Sodot and when he wrote the Parashiyot of the Tefillin, this world as well as the upper one would illuminate.
All the Tefillin that were written by Rabbi Zvi were special, full of Shemot and Kavanot, and already back then – cost a fortune.
As time passed and there were increasingly fewer Tefillin handwritten by Rabbi Zvi Sofer, they became invaluable. Only Tzaddikim who carefully guarded the Parashiyot Tefillin and the few who could afford to purchase them owned the important and sacred Tefillin of Rabbi Zvi.

In addition to the pedigreed Parasha handwritten by Rabbi Zvi Sofer, you can see and touch, and if you are really fortunate, even acquire, four Parashiyot Tefillin handwritten by the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Moshe Sofer of Pshevorsk, author of Or Pnei Moshe, one of the leading Chassidic Tzaddikim of the first generation and one of the scribes of the holy Ba’al Shem Tov. Rabbi Zusha of Hanipol used to say that when Rabbi Moshe was writing, a flame would burst out of his quill.
These Sofrei Kodesh were not only sacred and of a high soul, not only did they write purely and sacredly, but they also had a special and rare script and used special Tagim, each Tzaddik with his unique style which was based on sublime Kavanot.
This special and truly rare combination, which is also one-time as stated, is about to happen close to the Ba’al Shem Tov’s Yahrzeit, a week after Shavu’ot, on 6.4.23, at the special Meyuchasim auction – an auction of premium items of the leading auction house – Tiferet.
In addition to the Parashiyot, the auction house introduces other important Chassidic items such as the sacred signature of the holy Shelah – Rabbi Yeshaya Halevi Horowitz, the Gemore of the holy Maggid of Kozhnitz with a comment handwritten by him, a complete copy of Mishneh Torah LeHaRambam, from 1651 – the famed edition that led later to the burning of the Talmud, Sreifat HaTalmud. There are also holy books that are 400 years old and even one that is 500 years old – a copy of the first edition of Rabbeinu Yerucham.
Only one can acquire the ancient Parashiyot. In general, only few can afford to purchase such invaluable items. However, the mere knowledge that these Parashiyot exist and are introduced to the public stirs excitement among scholars, historians and Chassidut-lovers alike. Click to Bid >>
