Thousands of guests, Crown Heights residents, Shluchim and bochurim joined a historic reunion of the group of Shluchim sent by the Rebbe to Kfar Chabad in 5716.
The twelve Shluchim who were sent by the Rebbe after the terror attack in Kfar Chabad spoke on a panel emceed by Rabbi Yosef Greenberg, shliach of the Rebbe to Alaska.
The 3 hour event was followed by a farbrengen with the shluchim.
The event, organized by Vaad Hatmimim organization, was broadcast live on COLlive.com courtesy of Chabad.org.

At first I was disappointed by the responses of these shluchim. I thought they were like old milk – past the expiration date. They weren’t answering the question posed to them. Some weren’t making sense. One (Rabbi Shem Tov) even refused to talk at first indicating he has nothing to say! Then I thought, imagine if a group of young shluchim would be asked o speak about their shlichus. They would talk and talk and keep talking about how great they are and all the wonderful things they accomplished (of course with the Rebbe’s help). Young shluchim would not know… Read more »
Was it a goiral how were they chosen?
I have been so inspired by watching this entire Kinus! Wow – Firstly to hear about this whole entire Shlichus that I did not know too much about and all the details of how the Rebbe sent them etc and all the stories and things that happened to them and then to also be inspired about how to be a shliach and how much the Rebbe shaped it out for them. It given the feeling that us too the Rebbe shapes out for us the Shlichus and we hope to be matzliach in our Shlichus just like they were… Wow… Read more »
The event was tremendous. But poorly planed.
I agree with Kop Doctar….I noticed the same thing when I was listening to what these amazing Shluchim said…or did not say….despite the prodding of the moderator….UNREAL…what role models

Is there a translation of the what the speakers are saying who are speaking Hebrew or Yiddish?
If I were one of them, would have spoken about “MY” shlichus and what “I” (or maybe “WE”) accomplished. I would have spoken about MY heroics, my special mission, me, me, ME! If you notice, when each of them spoke, they were uncomfortable talking about themselves. Most simply refused to talk about themselves – even when prompted by the moderator. The moderator insisted and pushed them to talk about themselves “their shlichus”, but they instead talked about everything else but themselves… Want to know why? Because these shluchim are BOTEL btachlis to the Rebbe. This shlichus was not about them.… Read more »
