The third violent incident in a week occurred in Crown Heights on Thursday evening, when a man was stabbed on Montgomery Street.
A black male in his mid-20’s was stabbed while walking on Montgomery Street near Albany Avenue at approximately 6:30 pm.
The attacker, also in his mid-20’s, is known to the victim and had gotten into a dispute with him, police said. He fled in a car after the attack.
The victim managed to walk to the next corner of Montgomery and Troy, where he entered a grocery store and asked the store owner for help.
He was transported from the store to the hospital where he is in stable condition, reports said.
NYPD has called a level 1 mobilization in response to the attack.
