Levi Raskin/, a Lubavitcher from Israel who works as a personal and business coach, has been composing songs for years and sharing it with friends.
One of them was “Vatik,” a slow melody which he played on the piano a year and a half ago.
After posting it on Facebook, it caught the attention of popular Chabad singer Nemouel Harroch who took the song and arranged it with the help of Dovid Ichlovitz.
The result is an Israeli-style song that might reach crowds beyond the frum world.
Nemouel said he remembers how Raskin would visit his studio to record “beautiful and emotional compositions” in past years.
“I knew that day that we will be collaborating together in the future,” Nemouel said. “I am happy to say that after years of acquaintance, we made it. I hope this is the beginning.”
Raskin said that he was “very happy that this connection led to such a perfect execution. I hope this song gets to as many people as possible.”
He added that it was a personal lesson for him. “You need to do what is dependent on you and Hashem will do His work.”
