The final days of the CHYE / COLLIVE Elevator Pitch Challenge saw a frenzied rush to the polling stations, with hundreds of votes being cast in the competition’s closing moments.
Contestants rallied their family, friends, classmates and supporters, desperately searching for the clinching votes to see them scrape ahead. The competition ended in a neck-to-neck race across both the men and woman division, leaving three leading contestants from each division advancing to the second round.
“The Elevator Pitch Challenge has proven to be a most exciting competition, and we congratulate all of the brave competitors,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, Director of CHYE and coordinator of the competition. “Both the talent and innovation on display has been truly remarkable.”
The following winning contestants will advance to the finalist round:
Women’s Division finalist:
Naama Freundlich from Naamazstlye
Sara Esther Varnai from Kids Discover Israel
Chaya Rockford from The Me & My
Men’s Division finalist:
Mendy Dalfin from The Chosen Bean.
Shmuly Wolff from JMenu.
Yosef Bard-Wigdor from Bardy’s
All six finalists will deliver their pitch before a panel of experienced business professionals at a public event on June 14th in United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown St 730pm.
Contestants will be judged on both their pitch presentation and the soundness of their business model.
“We are looking forward to the next round of this competition, and we encourage community members to attend the live business panel,” Rabbi Werde said.
The leading presentation from both the women’s and men’s division will win a business services package valued at $10,000, including $1000 in cash to use toward growing their business.

It may be dangerous to sleep with a necklace doll. I hope it’s safe. I am confident that you thought of this and you figured out what is the safest way to do it.

So happy to hear that Bardy’s did win first place for the votes of this special contest. He has a very special and rare talent in jewelry repairs that has taken years to cultivate and refine and it would be nice to have the financial support and capacity building of Small Business Services to put into the store that is befitting of such a mavan

Books to turn kids on to Israel – a great way to learn and fall in love.
Sara-Ester Varnai’s KDI is a series of children’s historical novels about Israel that are capturing and fun to read.
What better way to educate the next generation about our homeland, the one that we have been praying for for thousands of years!
KDI is the way to go.
It really can help our children learn about the land that was given to us and with such a creative director no doubt more amazing things will come from this.
Yossi Bard-Wigdor is one of the most honest, sweetest, best guys I know. Bardy’s had amazing jewelry and great, personalized customer service! They can really benefit from the CHYE prize.
Go naama excellent idea I love it from one of your nephew’s
J-menu. Most practical solution to a big problem in NY, dude seems driven and focus, and its such a simple solution! KDI is worthwhile b/c kids should learn about Israel no doubt, and the me and my video was top quality…. but J-Menu… great idea!
