U.S. President Donald Trump spoke to an Israeli newspaper ahead of his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scheduled for Wednesday, February 15 in the White House.
Netanyahu hopes his trip to Washington, DC, will be a full reversal of the icy relationship he had with Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.
“We’ve always had good chemistry, and he is a good man,” Trump said of Netanyahu in the interview last week to Israel Hayom’s foreign news editor and senior analyst Boaz Bismuth last week.
“He wants to do the right thing for Israel. He would like peace; I believe that he wants peace and wants to have it badly. I have always liked him,” he gushed.
Asked about moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and thereby recognizing the holy city as Israel’s capital, Trump said, “I’m thinking about it very seriously, and we will see what happens.”
Trump said America will not be condemning Israel during his presidency. “Israel has had a long history of condemnation and difficulty,” he said. “And I don’t want to be condemning Israel. I understand Israel very well, and I respect Israel a lot, and they have been through a lot.”
Bismuth shared additional nuggets of his time with Trump to the Kol Chai radio in Israel, noting that the president “is way more careful, speaking slower and yet still friendly.”
“At the end of our meeting, we even spoke about his children. He told me that on occasion he joined the Shabbos meals with his daughter Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner and has seen up close how kiddush is made.”
“It’s already routine by him,” Bismuth said according to the Israeli website Chareidim 10. “He told me that the only time he is silent is when he’s at the Shabbos table of his daughter, between washing hands and blessing Hamotzi.”
Bismuth added: “Trump loves Israel because of Judaism. It’s more important what Netanyahu will tell Trump, then what Trump will say. The Prime Minister had a chance to teach the new president a little Jewish history. He’s hungry for information.”
Stop pandering to the goyim and do as Hashem said in the Torah like the Rebbe explained to all Israel’s leaders.
wow your so ‘optimistic’
Trump said no two states, G-d bless him

Move the embassy to Jerusalem and get the ball rolling! Let’s get really ready!
I don’t think the Rubashkin legal teams wants clemency because then he admits guilt. He could have plea bargained originally but didn’t.
S.M. Rubashkin did nothing wrong. Since ‘The Rebbe’ sais ‘America is a malchus of chesed’ many think the accused is wrong and America is always right—false. ‘Machus of Chesed’ could be many other places.
After the ‘1991 Pogrom’ would ‘The Rebbe’ declare the same thing—‘runaway, out of control government?’

HE IS PROVING HIMSELF! #MAKEAMERICAGREATAGAIN
on Holocuast Remembrance Day – He should have just kept his mouth shut instead of rivising history! Where is the outrage?? He didn’t mention Jews in connection to the Holocuast, and then his disgusting press secretary says we’re ‘nitpicking’ and ‘pathetic’???! He tells the whole world that the Holocaust claimed lots of i nnocent lives, ..INCLUDING JEWS?????? INCLUDING????
He should have kept his mouth shut then!!
moving the embassy to Jerusalem shows that this is the capital city like written in tanach
..the problem is Netanyahu doesnt want to provoke the arabs and has told Trump not to. The problem with Israel is not the US or Trump or even the arabs. the problem is us, the Jews !!!
Until The State of Israel starts telling the world the Land is 100% OURS because G-d gave it to us, only then will peace come. As long as we continue to pander to the west and the arabs, and the PM keeps talking about 2 states the wars will continue.
DONT BLAME TRUMP IF/ WHEN THE EMBASSY STAYS PUT IN TEL AVIV !
As much as people say Obama was bad for Israel. I think he was great for Israel, because Israel finally grew a backbone and stood up for themselves agains the entire world! No land was given away during Obama’s tenure. Only when our “friends” were in office were we pressured to give away land, because after all you have to play nice with a friend. This whole Jewish thing scares me. America is so Anti-Trump and if all they see if him aligning with Israel/Jews, historically speaking this is the beginning of the end of Jewish life in America. Maybe… Read more »
Did the Rebbe ever speak about the importance of moving the US embassy to Yerushalaim?
Or are Chassidim following the lead of Tzionim?
The Rebbe spoke about Shtochim. About Hevron. These should be our issues. Following the teachings of the first Rashi and the Shulchan Orech about pre-emptive strikes.
Free Rubashkin
End this Obama injustice
When will he free rubahkin? It just takes one signature!!!
Trach gut — vet zein gut!
The previous posters are all so wise and informed about the future :p
Jerusalem is our capital & that’s where the embassies should be! Sorry, there’s nothing more to talk about. Be tough
YEH. TRUMP WILL MOVE THE US EMBASSY TO YERUSHALAYIM WHEN HE APPOINTS MEXICANS TO GUARD THE BORDER
WISHFUL THINKING
but he’s going ful speed ahead, he’s doing as the tanach says, so far all his posts are wealthy people for insightfull leaders, l see besty devos is bruised, thankfully pres trump is building her up may we have con’t good news
He doesn’t want to have to say a dvar torah.
This is what Netanyahu should state Israel wants! That’s what he should come to discuss, nothing else.
Anybody read the headlines? This is a disaster in the making. Israel has always suffered more at the hands of its “friends” than it enemies…
Don’t forget who gave away land. It was always the Right.
Truth is, you can’t really blame Trump. He’s basically repeating what Israel itself has been saying for over 2 decades.
Dark times.
