The Rebbe in Berlin said
May 11, 2016 12:18 am

My Zayde learned Tanya with the Rebbe in Berlin and the Rebbe told him that it was written as a book of Eitzos…..for the impoverished people in his time….

Obviously the Alter Rebbe knew science and wrote the Tanya for people who had irrational fears of God and punishment being they grew up in Reisin…. this area in Russia had lots of Theologians and the people’s were convinced…. Beliefs the Rambam and Ibin Ezra never supported….

thank you
