Last night (Tuesday) hundreds of Temimim from Chovevei Torah, Oholei Torah and all around Crown Heights gathered in 770 for a kinus marking the end of the Shiva for the Shluchim Rabbi Gavriel Noachand Rivkah Holtzberg HY”D.
The kinus was organized by all the menahalim, to inspire and strengthen the Temimim to make good hachlotos.
The Temimim all learned a maamer together, and then Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld spoke as well as other Rosh Yeshivos and Mashpiim.
A very moving part of the gathering was when Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg, father of Gavriel HY”D, addressed the Temimim in Yiddish from Afula via telephone.
The Temimim were given Hakhel cards and were encouraged to increase Hakhel activities with themselves and others.
the Rebbe stressed Mashpiim for that exact reaon
I agree with you %100, absolutely vital
In addition to hachlatos and initiatives and other things the older people fashion as a top-down response to this matter, is anyone dealing with and validating the questions, fears, and reactions the young ones assuredly have? Perhaps the schools can offer a way for any student to anonymously ask questions and express themselves and then those (of authority or wisdom) who think they have appropriate responses/ answers can address these things in a public forum (and maybe actually publically admit – there are unanswerable questions which are justifiably asked)
our sweet ones
it would be funny if these little ones made initiatives among themselves and made it public like the yungerleigt are doing
