Tambourines Launches Teen Fitness

As the opening date for their second year approaches, Tambourines Academy responded to a demand in our community and announced its expanded program, offering fitness classes for teenage girls who are looking for a space to work out with trained teachers and Jewish music.

Tambourines , founded last year by Lea Shemtov, offers a unique space where girls in grades 1­12 can develop their skills in singing, dancing, acting, performing, and now fitness, in a chassidishe atmosphere, under the guidance of professional instructors.

The feedback from those who have participated last year has been extremely positive.

“My daughters look forward to it every single week! They are so excited to be able to attend a professional and chassidishe studio where they can express themselves and learn new skills,” says Rivka Holzman, mother of Tambourine students.

Confident in its dance instructor, Leslie Class, and voice instructor, Devorah Serraf, the Academy is looking forward to continue providing this incredible opportunity and to satisfy the high demand.

The Academy will be offering trial classes for any new student interested in sampling a taste of the magic that takes place!

Trial class details: Grades 1­5: Sunday, 28 Tishrei ­ Oct. 7th, 4:30­-6:15 pm.
Grades 6­8: Tuesday, 30 Tishrei ­ Oct. 9th, 4:20­-6:20 pm.

$10 admission.
Teen Fitness: Thursday, 2 Cheshvan ­ Oct. 11. Grade 8­ 5:15­6:15 Grades 9­12­ 6:30­7:30
$12 admission.
All the classes will take place at the new Tambourines Studio: 471 Albany Ave. corner Empire Blvd.
