The long life and accomplishments of Rabbi Dovid Raskin OBM will be celebrated this coming Sunday, April 29, on the occasion of his first yahrzeit.
Rabbi Raskin led the Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach Central) for over 55 years, alongside directing the Central Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva of 770 Eastern Parkway.
He was the Rebbe’s baal koreh, help found the iconic Mitzvah Tanks and was a board member of Agudas Chassidie Chabad International, Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Machne Israel.
Leaders of those central Chabad organization will be speaking at the event. Among them Rabbi Abraham Shemtov, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Rabbi Shmuel Butman and Rabbi Kasriel Kastel.
His nephew, Vermont Shliach Rabbi Yitzchok Raskin will emcee and the keynote address will be given by Rabbi YY Jacobson, leader of Congregation Beis Shmuel Chabad in Crown Heights.
770 Mashpia Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi will be leading a farbrengen following the main part of the event.
