When Zvi Goodman kept getting calls from parents about the difficulties their daughters faced in being admitted into a summer program that suited them, he spun into action.
Having seen many girls finding it hard to get into the camp that best suited them, he decided that this year he would do his bit to assist. He founded Teens Out West Adventures; the first ever Lubavitch girls summer program with the full west-experience.
A travel agent by profession, specializing in comprehensive vacation packages, Zvi felt that he was the right person to venture on this daring mission.
“I wanted to fill a void,” Zvi said. “Not only are we offering another camp, we are catering to the adventurous girls, who want an outdoor experience. And I wanted to make this possible, without compromising in any way, the Chassidish atmosphere.”
Teens Out West Adventures immediately recruited 5 girls who have reputations as Chassidish, fun and adventurous: Rivky Borenstein, Goldy Kotlarsky, Rochie Nash, Chaya Mushka Okunov and Rivkah Leah Shmueli.
In his trademark style and exceptional organization, Teens Out West Adventures has already released a list of some of the places the camp will be visiting. Among them: Pikes Peak Mountain, Gardens of G-d, Sedona, Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Park, Zion National Park and Calf’s Creek in Escalanta.
“This is only a small list, the first week or two,” the camp’s website boasts.
The camp’s Chassidish atmosphere will be enhanced by some real-life Shlichus experiences. The camp is working closely with Shluchim in the area.
As his many clients can attest to, Zvi pays attention to minor details, and is religiously cautious when it come to safety.
Due to limited space, contact should be made with the camp at teenoutwestadventures.com

Have any openings? 😉
He’s not the first, he doesnt claim to be the first of the type bichlal. Zvi told me he plans on adding to the original one Mrs. Gurary had. This one will have literally tens of trips…
Tzvi hatzlacha in your shlichus!
Gurary from Iowa had such a program for years
what ages of “teens”?
But this is not necessarily the first western based girls camp program. Years ago Mrs. Chaya Gourarie ran Teva Tours which visited some of these National Parks and had a great Chassidish flavor.
Kudos to Zvi Goodman for organizing, what promises to be, a great program!
Make one for boys next year! 😉
