its just as offensive to say irreligious or unaffiliated… the people who may not wear kippas are obviously somewhat affiliated – otherwise they would not be coming to something made by chabad! Equally, to say someone is irreligious – who are we to judge?

In Sydney it had been raining for days! Everyone was sure that it would be a total writeoff and big monetary loss! Even that very morning it was raining! And lo and behold, a quick Pa”n and as the place opened at 11:00 the sun came out, crowds of freye yidden swarmed to the event, ate kosher gourmet food in the sukkah, many emotionally bentched Lulav and esrog with Shehechiyonu for the first time this year (and some for the first time in their life) had fun and proudly identifeid as Jews! what a Kiddush Hashem! Actually i was there and there were many Fry people there, i am assuming the photographer did not know who they were therefor only took photos of the obviously jewish i.e Black hat and/or yarmulka etc….
I personaly saw over 30 non frum (yet) families that attend the same Chabad House as i attend.

Can someone tell me if this is at the place where the ferris wheel is/was? When we were there in 1997 they were debating whether to keep it open. It was on the other side of the Harbour Bridge from the Sydney Opera House.
The entrance to the park looks scary… but it looks like it was an amazing day!
