Chabad of Sugarland, Texas, directed by Shliach Rabbi Menachem Mendel Feigenson, recently dedicated a new Shul and community center, which offers programs for men, women and children.
Adding to the celebration was the completion of a new Torah scroll, sponsored by the Mendelson family of Lod, Israel, many of whom traveled to the U.S. to take part in the festivities.
Hundreds from the local community attended the ceremony, which was joined by Rabbi Shimon Lazarov, head Shliach to Texas, and many shluchim from throughout the state.
Rabbi Feigenson was my first Rebbe 20+ years ago, and I still remember his sweetness. Sugarland sounds like a very appropriate place for him to be living.
