Great idea ofcolored edge to steps. Also some non-slippery material would help for safety.

2 preparation rooms with showers

color the steps

when you have steps in the mikve, it’s very dangerous for ladies who wear glasses, they don’t see the step, you must outline with darker tiles the border of the step, thanks and kol hakavod for the job

How many rooms?

What an amazing undertaking. The product reflects a tenth of the hard work I’m sure!
How many prep rooms will there b?

effort

While this is a nice, well-directed effort for which serious gratefulness is in order, i wonder how realize that this is at its core a bathhouse, ritual, meant to embellish some very basic behavior.

And since its aim is to cement the spousal relationship, it would be at least equally beneficial if folks focused on meaningful relationship building too.

I fully agree with #7’s comments. especially the last line. Please make sure that you have really good lighting. maybe call in a lighting specialist to help with the final touches! Make sure that it’s not just beautiful, but very PRACTICAL for the performance of the mitzvah itself. maybe ask an experienced kallah teacher to come in and inspect the rooms to give practical suggestions/advice etc. kol hakovod for undertaking this project!

Your comments are in a public forum. Did you direct them to the people who could actually do something about it?

May u be blessed !this mtzva is the highest priority!it is a disgrace to crown heights that for80 years there was only one tiny mikva.be careful that the lighting”experts ” don,t talk u into anything but fluorescent fixtures.good lighting is vital.and hurry up! There r new renovations in the ch.mikva, leaving only 11 rooms.I suppose some ladies will be forced to go out of the neighborhood due to the long wait at the ch.mikva. hurry!!!!

Please, I beg of you, for the sake of the women who will actually use this mikvah – make sure the fixtures are functional and not just beautiful. The Union St mikvah redid some rooms and they are beautiful BUT the shower/bath fixtures are so complicated to figure out they had to put instructions how to turn the water on and get the temp you want. Some other mikvahs I have been to have these fancy tubs which are so high on the sides that I practically need a step stool to get in. Not everyone is 5’8″. And many… Read more »
