The Sterling Electronics store, a longtime staple on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights, will be temporarily closing to allow for a rebranding overall during the winter season.
“The facelift will be to provide a pleasant shopping experience for our customers and we will be expanding our current electronics items,” said owner and manager Simcha Stroh.
The new selection will include “more that is needed for the Jewish home,” Stroh said, adding that the store will be renamed “Sterling Home & Electronics” when they reopen at the end of the winter.
He said customers can expect wider and more spacious aisles, up to date home and electronics items, expanded lines of products, toiveling of dishes in their on-site Mikvah and delivery in Crown Heights.
“Our friendly and knowledgeable staff from within the community will be on-hand to offer real person interaction and suggestions that you can not get from shopping online,” he said.
Staff will be able to suggest which hot water urn best fits for Shabbos and yom tov or help a bride setting up her new home or a baal teshuva family starting their first kosher kitchen.
“With quality brands and products throughout, you will find the most trusted names in all our departments, vacuums heaters/AC, speakers, watches- just to name a few. And as always, we will stand behind every product we sell to ensure all around pleasant shopping experience,” he said.
While the brick-and-mortar will be closed, Sterling will continue to sell products on their website sterlingelectronics.com and via 718-756-9840 and email [email protected].

Sterling has amazing customer service! They really do stand by their products! I am talking from experience, this is a store I am happy to walk into
Always helpful, courteous, & knowledgeable… that started with the founder, Mendel Brikman OBM, & has continued ever since. I hope they re-open in time for the Kinus HaSluchos, I know my daughters love to pick up things there.
Hatzlacha!
I forgot name of the lady who used to help me with printing my photos she was unbelievable.
The only one in the neighborhood!!
We miss it !
I hope rebranding doesn’t mean a huge hike in prices ! Friends, less and less stores and restaurants are catering to families! No more family specials no more nice heinish stores . Why are we always going upscale when most people here are middle class looking for fresh clean and nice service ! This is not manhattan .
BS”D What does rebranding mean?
Hope their service stays the same. I go there because the workers are so so nice every single time ( and avoid other places bc of the opposite), and because they are good about toiveling and delivering.
Will the mikva be open? And if not where can we toivel keilim?
Every time I go in, it has a warm haimishe feeling.
Shortly after I went on shlichus I came to CH for a family Simcha, after hearing where I moved to he gave me a discount. Much Hatzalcha!
They really do have pleasant and helpful customer service.
They have excellent customer service. A pleasure to shop there. I heard through the grapevine that the owner now owns the buzz too. Hatzlocha Rabba I hope that you will continue with your great customer service IYH!
I wish simche the best of luck
He & staff have always gone out of their way for ME so many times
I will definitely be calling in MY ORDERS until the are open again
will they open before pesach?i always buy my pesach stuff there.
Will it also be closed or will that be open through the winter?
We need a store to sell big appliances on a payment plan like washers/dryers, refrigerators etc.
I always felt good shopping there and able to trust their advice. Lots of hatzlocho!!
I hope this store succeeds. Although the store is currently a mess, they have excellent customer service which is a) more important, and b) a rarity in this city. I always find the people who work here to be tremendously helpful and polite.
