Much excitement is felt among Chassidim around the world in preparation for Hei Teves, the day commemorating the historic victory of Agudas Chassidei Chabad in regards to the library of the Rebbeim in 5747 (1987).
This year, Hei Teves being on Shabbos, special arrangements have been made to accommodate close to a thousand Shluchim, Anash, and bochurim expected to be spending Hei Teves by the Rebbe’s Ohel.
At the time of the victory in 1987 thousands of chassidim flew to NY to be with the Rebbe at this special time, celebrating for seven consecutive days and nights. The Rebbe personally participated in the celebration, saying a Sicha after Maariv every one of the 7 days, and explicitly thanked those men and women who traveled to New York to express their blessings and farbreng together on occasion of the victory.
In following years the Rebbe established Hei Teves as a “Yom Segula v’Eis Ratzon” (an auspicious day) for years to come, and marked it by publishing special booklets of Maamorim, reciting sichos, and encouraging the redemption of books of the Rebbeim which remain in captivity in Russia. Of the most famous horaos is to purchase and/or repair Torah books.
In Chabad communities throughout the world joyous Farbrengens are held celebrating this very special Yom Tov of Dor Hashvi’i and hundreds travel to the Ohel to be with the Rebbe on this day. Last year a “Kol Koreh” (Public Declaration) was issued by prominent Rabbonim and Mashpiim from around the world urging Anash to properly observe and celebrate this Yomtov that the Rebbe estabelished.
At the Ohel, a complete program of shiurim and farbrengens has been arranged by the Vaad Ohr V’chom Hahiskashrus. Among others, Rabbis Yossi Groner, Charlotte, NC, Mendel Katzman, Nebraska, Yosef Chaim Kantor, Thailand, Mendel Azimov, Paris, and Asi Spigel, Tzfas, Israel, will address the crowd.
To properly plan for the participants the organizers request to be notified if you plan to be there at the following link:

Hundreds of Yeshivah bochurim will also be coming in from Oholei Torah, Morristown, Detroit, Westchester, Montreal and Baltimore and will participate in a special program organized by Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim.
Other Yeshivas throughout the world are taking part in a Mivtza Hachonah to properly prepare for the big day through which participants will be able to participate in multiple raffles for tickets to be by the Rebbe for Hei Teves as representatives of their Yeshiva.
